awards in the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMA)
Wednesday (7/4), while the singer is getting
a lot of nominations such as Taylor Swift
and Hunter Hayes
home empty handed at the award night of
country music.
Swift, 23, did
not win a single award nominated in five categories,
including Entertainer of the Year are selected
by fans, even though he won it in the
last two years.
Entertainer of the year is Bryan, 36, who is one of the evening's
emcee.
Lambert, 29, won
four awards, including
Female Vocalist of
the Year, beating Swift, Carrie Underwood, Martina
McBride and Kacey
Musgraves. He also won in the categories
of Song of the Year for "Over You," which was written with her husband Blake Shelton, singing
contest The Voice judges who delivered the
evening's event.
Academy of Country Music is a music
industry professionals organization
that aims to promote and preserve the tradition
of country music, and they chose the best musicians or
singers who perform
in the annual awards
ceremony.
The three-hour television
event decorated appearance
of country music stars,
including Dierks Bentley,
Carrie Underwood, Lambert, Keith Urban
and Tim McGraw.
Pop star Kelly Clarkson,
John Mayer and
Sheryl Crow, as
well as the legendary singer
Stevie Wonder helped
to enliven the stage that night
